Veneers in Hampstead, London

Dentists often use veneers to transform a smile and recreate the natural look of teeth.

Veneers are a thin layer of tooth coloured porcelain (like false finger nails) that your dentist will bond to your existing front teeth. They allow you to improve the shape, size and colour of your teeth. Additionally the procedure usually only takes two sessions so you do not need long treatment.

Veneers are a popular cosmetic dental option for:
● Stained enamel
● Cracked or chipped teeth
● Teeth that resist whitening treatments
● Closing small gaps
● Mild overlapping

At Heath Street Dental we custom-make dental veneers individually so they can look completely natural.

A veneer requires minimal tooth preparation into enamel and you can usually complete the treatment in just two visits.

During the first visit, we would ensure we understand exactly what you would like to achieve with your smile. Your dentist will examine your teeth and make sure dental veneers are an appropriate option for you. We prepare the tooth to enable an impression to be taken. This involves removing about half a millimetre of enamel from the tooth surface so the veneer can be added. After the impression is taken, our dental ceramists handcraft the veneer. During the second visit, we bond the veneer in place with a special adhesive, which holds it firmly to the tooth.

Once fitted, a veneer should last for many years, but just like normal teeth, they can break or chip.
